It’s hard to imagine that there’s a single building in London without air conditioning. In-fact, as far as office building or place of work there are probably only a handful.
However as air conditioning has a life span of 15- 20 years most of the air conditioning in London is using old technology and old refrigerants. As all new technologies not only look better but are far more cost effective to run and use.
It has been reported that if an air conditioning unit is a non inverter, R22 type system, then there will be at least a 60% energy saving if it is swapped with new technology equipment. Such as Daikin or Mitsubishi and using one of there R410a inverter systems.
With the word “Savings” spring up in every paragraph the idea of true cost savings must be a question.

This equates to £861.12 Per year in Electricity costs
Therefore a 60% saving per year would equate to £516.68 Per year saved.
Over the period of 10 – 15 years the savings vastly out-weight the initial cost to install. Can you afford to not change your air conditioning?
